INFORMATION on the region's process, energy and renewable industries is just a click away as the New Year sees a new look for Humber Chemical Focus's website.

The website will be launched later this month and will showcase the events, publications and information services on offer from one of the region's premier membership-based organisations.

The site will have a vibrant colour scheme to reflect the dynamic nature of the organisation and allow users to easily distinguish between the diverse range of services on offer.

As well as keeping visitors up to date with the latest renewables stories affecting our region, the renewables section will provide information on HCF's Humber Renewables Network (HRN) and links to renewable-themed events.

The networks area on the new website will provide readers with information on the nine industry-led network groups that HCF run.

These networks cover areas such as skills, safety and the environment and are attended by senior managers from HCF member companies.

The membership area will feature regularly updated news stories from the membership, as well as access to dedicated company profiles, while the skills area will be jam-packed with information on industry-related skills and education in our region.

In this section, readers can expect to see features on HCF's ChemSkills network, the CATCH facility and the Business, Enterprise & Education Partnership (BEEP), which is actively involved in linking local industry with education.

And the events tab is definitely something to keep an eye on as the area where events will be advertised and reviewed. Events to look out for include The New Energy Workforce, Securing the Skills for a Low Carbon Future on March 28 and HCF's annual dinner on May 10.

The library section of the new HCF website will allow readers to look at recent and archived HCF publications, including The Big Book of the Humber, a directory of businesses operating across the Humber's chemical, petrochemical and energy industries.

Also available will be copies of Mouth of the Humber, which focuses on sustainable energy, and In2Focus, HCF's members' magazine. For further information, call Bethan Clayton on 01469 552841 or e-mail bethan.clayton@humber chemical.co.uk
