New owners of Livwell Bakery in Hull unveils investment plans
A gluten-free bakery in Hull has been bought by Genius Foods.
Livwell Bakery in Main Street, off Fountain Road, has been acquired as part of Genius's £21million acquisition of United Central Bakeries from Finsbury Foods.
Roz Cuschieri, chief executive of Genius, said the company would be investing in the Hull bakery and its team.
She said: "Genius is a fast growing business and our intention is to invest to cope with the increasing demand for our products.

“I worked at Fletchers for a short time and if any one had seen the state of the place and what they did there, no one would want that bakery back. I would rather bake in my garden”
