EAST RIDING: Anlaby Acre Heads Primary has been given a glowing report by Ofsted.

Good ratings have been given for overall effectiveness, achieve- ment, teaching, leadership and management.

Inspectors found the inspiring leadership of headteacher Rachel Robinson had brought stability to the 347-pupil school after a period of instability.

A strong drive to establish a culture where expectations of pupils and staff are high has resulted in good teamwork which is moving the school forward effectively. Staff morale is high.

Mrs Robinson said: "We are all delighted the inspectors praised the teamwork and excellent relationships we have developed here at Acre Heads.

"We're extremely proud of our outstanding judgement for safety and behaviour.

"We firmly believe our children should come first and whatever we do, their wellbeing is paramount."

Mrs Robinson acknowledged "fantastic support" from parents and governors. She also praised pupils for their "excellent attitude".
