An Olympic welcome
TOURISM: Visit-England yesterday held a seminar for airports across England, to discuss the welcoming visitors ahead of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Opened by the Minister for Tourism and Heritage, John Penrose MP, the event provided an opportunity for airport operators and supporting partners to share best practice in providing the best welcome possible at our airports around the country.
Carl Lapworth, operations director at Leeds Bradford Airport, said: "We are delighted to be involved in this project which gives airports across the country an opportunity to come together and share best practice on how to offer passengers a warm welcome. One of our core business priorities is to deliver excellent customer service every day, at every touch point through the airport."
