“I do hope this lady has recovered, it just goes to show though how easy it is to get caught out, a lesson for all.”

“Fairway1, if only you knew the extent of the persons driving career then you wouldn't comment with such hatred towards them, she was a very competent 4x4 driver with many years experience. Driving in all kinds of weather in various parts of the country, keeping to road speeds which I might add most drivers don't, it's her first accident in 27 years bet you can't boast that? Two years ago she was pulling people out of snow and delivering elderly hot dinners because they couldn't get out because of the weather. £2500 fine, thinks she is paying more than that with the pride and joy she has just lost and the torment of the accident and I might add it was an accident through slushy snow that spun the car out of control. Think of the poor lady trapped and the torment after that, could you live with it?”

“Perhaps if you knew the circumstances fairway1 you may not feel the same, or if it was you...i agree that most accidents are self-inflcted but you may be pre-judging the issue”

“The driver of that car should receive an automatic fine of £2500 for being such an idiot. Accidents like this are entirely avoidable, uneccessary and are caused by either sheer stupidity or by not paying attention to the traffic / roads around them. It also inconveniences thousands of other road users who get snarled up in the ensuing traffic tailback.”
