Paper craft the family can try out

An exhibition of Wycinanki – the traditional Polish art of paper cuts – has opened in Beverley Art Gallery.

The display, from the London's Horniman Museum, features 30 colourful and intricate paper cuts from the Polish regions of Kurpie and Lowicz.

The gallery is also hosting a free pattern and print family craft day on Saturday, March 2, where visitors can make a picture frame, handmade cards or printmaking.

When & where: Exhibition runs until Saturday, March 16. Opening times Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 9.30am to 5pm; Tuesday and Thursday, 9.30am to 8pm; Saturday 9am to 4pm.
