PARKING restrictions in a number of streets near the new Thomas Ferens Academy in Hall Road have been agreed by the city council following a public consultation.

The new double yellow lines will be applied to parts of Tudor Drive, Argent Close, Baroness Close, Coronet Close and Countess Close.

The restrictions will come into force from Monday, September 10, and will be the subject of a review after six months.

Some residents had complained the consultation had been left until just before the new school opens.
