Patrington so close to EYCA Premier Division title
PATRINGTON are closing in on the East Yorkshire Cricket Alliance Premier Division Title without playing.
With three games to go they just need 25 points after their closest rivals, Hessle lost to third placed Airmyn. Airmyn are just two points behind in third place.
At the bottom it's as you were with all the bottom three gaining victories.
Cottingham beat Beverley, North Ferriby overcame Driffield and Hull Ionians Coal Exporters beat Sutton-on-Hull.
Kirk Ella got the better of a draw with Hill Top and move into fourth place.
Cottingham batted first when they entertained Beverley Town and rattled up 277 for 7 with Masood Balouch top scoring with 141 and Danny Moss (72) putting on 180 for the second wicket.
Kieran O'Brian took 3 for 72 for the visitors.
Beverley were all out for 111 in reply with only Sam Horton (31) showing any resistance against the bowling of Daniel Furlong (3 for 19) and Graeme Furlong (3 for 27).
Hessle were shot out for 82 when they entertained Airmyn with Martin Thomson (3 for 20), Phil Sparks (3 for 27) and Mark West (3 for 18) doing the damage.
Sparks (45) and Rich Stevens (30 not out) saw Airmyn home with eight wickets to spare.
Hull Ionians Coal Exporters batted first when they entertained Sutton-on-Hull and thanks to 66 from skipper, Andy Kingston they scored 131 all out.
Thomas Headspith was the pick of the visitors bowling taking 6 for 18.
Sutton were dismissed for just 61 in reply with only Lee Sinclair (28) making any headway against the bowling of Barry Young (5 for 19) and James Barker (5 for 33).
Kirk Ella were indebted to an eighth wicket partnership of 105 between Mark Trice (52) and Tom Wilkie (55) for their total of 205 for 8 against Hill Top.
Fergus Wilkinson was the pick of the visitors' bowling taking 6 for 28.
Hill Top closed on 146 for 4 to earn a draw with Gavin Wilkinson (44) and Paul Hemmerman (35 not out) being the main contributors with the bat while Tom Wilkie took 2 for 35.
North Ferriby batted first when they entertained Driffield Town IV and scored 164 all out with John Tweddle leading the way with 71 and Richard Dennett adding 21 while Mark Addinall was the pick of the visitors' bowling taking 5 for 40.
This total proved to be too many for Driffield who were bowled out for 67 in reply with only Josh Hopper putting up any resistance against the bowling of Scott Watkin (3 for 27) and Graham Mattinson (4 for 31).

Leaders Hull & YPI demolished Pelican.
Patrington, in second place also had a comfortable victory at Sutton-on-Hull.
Humbleton remain third after their victory over Hull Ionians Coal Exporters and Newland are fourth after they beat North Ferriby.
At the bottom, Wawne beat Eastrington and the game between Beverley and Cottingham ended in a draw.
Beverley Town had Neil Goforth (68) and Dave Parry (76) to thank for their total of 200 for 8 when they entertained Cottingham for whom L Martin took 3 for 15.
Cottingham closed on 150 for 8 to earn a draw with Goforth taking 3 for 30 and Sam Welburn (3 for 14).
Hull Ionians Coal Exporters were all out for 103 when they visited Humbleton with John Morris (45) and Andy Reeves (23) being the main contributors while Joe Harrison (4 for 11) and Matt Bradshaw (3 for 29) were the major wicket takers for the hosts.
Humbleton reached their target for the loss of four wickets with Bradshaw (35), Harrison (24 not out) and Kristian Redmore (21 not out) seeing them home.
Newland rattled up 282 all out when they entertained North Ferriby with Darren Fox (97), John Batte (68) and Paul Duncalf (47) leading the way while Shaun Edmunds (2 for 25) was the most successful bowler for the visitors.
Ferriby were all out for 127 in reply with Frank Brookes (38) and Josh Hawkridge (21) being the main contributors while Batte completed a good game by taking 3 for 28.
The Hull & YPI batsmen were in form when they visited Pelican with Ahmed Farook (66 not out), T Harlow (44) , Ben Wilkinson (28) and Roger Sago (24 not out) all batting well as they totalled 258 for 8.
Jonny Ellis (3 for 31) and Rob Smedley (3 for 37) were he pick of the home side's bowling.
Pelican were dismissed for just 72 in reply with Dave Palmer (4 for 32) and Farook (5 for 31) completing an excellent game, doing the damage.
Patrington scored 216 for 8 when they visited Sutton-on-Hull with Glen Ratcliffe (47), Dave Broom (36) and Chris Blanchard (34 not out) scoring the bulk of the runs.
Sutton could only muster 62 in reply with Sam Stockdale (3 for 11), Glen Ratcliffe (3 for 14) and Chris Blanchard (3 for 17) doing the damage.
Wawne batted first when they entertained Eastrington and scored 203 for 8 with Paul Coneyworth top scoring with 64 and being backed up by Jonathan Yates (28) and Jamie Davey (26 not out) while Paul Briggs (3 for 57), Gary Laverack (2 for 20) and Matthew Oates (2 for 28) were the pick of the visitors' bowling.
Eastrington were all out for 122 in reply with Paul Briggs (34) and Chris Crampton (22) being the only batsmen to trouble the bowling of Steve Coneyworth (4 for 32) and Paul Coneyworth (4 for 25).

Hessle in second and third placed Roos, who beat Kirk Ella, and Fenner are fighting out the other promotion place.
East Halton rattled up 234 for 2 declared when they entertained North Ferriby with James Mikkonen scoring an unbeaten 110 and Kev Wright adding 90.
Ferriby collapsed to just 28 all out in reply with Rory Ronaldson (5 for 7) and Matt Lord (3 for 4) doing the damage.
Gilberdyke were all out for 95 when they entertained Skirlaugh with Dave Mell scoring 27 and Steve Benstead (3 for 6) and Trevor Smith (3 for 18) being the main wicket takers.
Steve Bartlett was unbeaten on 26 as Skirlaugh reached their target with seven wickets to spare.
After being reduced to 41 for by Kirk Ella, Roos hit back as Matthew Dixon scored 209 not out to lead the hosts to 274 for 7.

YPI were all out for 67 with Tom Dearing taking 7 for 8.
Humberside Police need just seven points to claim the runners up spot after Sutton-on-Hull conceded their game.
