Paul Duffen wishes Dean Windass good luck
Hull City chairman Paul Duffen tonight wished Dean Windass well, as the striker heads across the Pennines to join Oldham.
Mr Duffen told The Mail: "Everyone at the club wants to see Deano do what makes him happy and we wish him all the best.

Paul Duffen
"This is a new adventure that he is embarking on.
"It is a measure of the man that he wants to go out and play football rather than see his time out at a Premier League club.
"He is happiest when he is scoring goals, and we all hope it works out for him."

“Reality check now. He scored a goal that won the play off final, that is it.
Does that mean that Phil Brown should include him in the starting lineup at every match?
Hull City is a business and if city go down at the end of the season (I hope not) it will be PB's head on the block not DW's so just let PB do the job he is paid to do.”

“I will admit to being an armchair supporter of hull city but always kept up with the goings on of the club. I was probably like others who watched the play off on tv, choked up with pride when he scored 'THAT GOAL'. that goal scored by a local boy done good. Also to see the way it was scored could have come from a script of a typical Hollywood ending. That was inspirational and truly moving for lots of reasons.
I think if anyone deserves a new statue tribute it should be him.
Its sad to see him go before the end of the season and if the upper admin team knows a thing or two about team motivation (which Phil brown obviously does) ull should see him come back for the last 2 matches and at the very least the last game at home to do the deserving lap of honour sat on the shoulders of his team mates.
Good luck deano, ive never had the fortune to see you play (being more a rugby man) but followed your fantastic story for years. Hull, the city owes you a lot of thanks.
