Pillar demolished at Northern Cemetery after crash in the snow

A driver believed to have lost control due to the icy conditions has demolished a pillar at Northern Cemetery in Hull.

The vehicle is thought to have crashed into the chapel, which is a listed building, sometime between 12noon and 6pm on Monday January 14.

The pillar, which is located at the side of the main doors, was badly damaged but the driver did not report the crash.

The driver of the vehicle and anyone who may have witnessed the incident is asked to call Humberside Police on 101 quoting log 91 of 15 January 2013.
