Pock throw away victory
RUGBY UNION
YET again Pocklington somehow managed to lose a game they had dominated for long periods, with Morpeth stealing a 20-19 victory with a penalty from the last kick of the match – 10 minutes into stoppage time.
Pocklington were 10 points down after a quarter of an hour, having conceded a early penalty and converted try.
But they fought back to lead 14-10 at the break as flanker Jack Holbrough burst clear and fed wing Phill Knight to dive over at the side of the posts. Then wing Billy Hardy and elusive centre Jake Bishop combined in midfield for Bishop to score. Hardy added both conversions.

Pocklington camped in Morpeth territory for most of the second half and when Holbrough powered over on the left with 15 minutes to go it looked all over at 19-10. But Pocklington were unable to close the game out, and a charged down kick gifted Morpeth a converted try to close the gap to two points.
Pocklington then had a long spell of pressure but they failed to turn it into a score and Morpeth grabbed the lifeline to attack deep into injury time.
There was an air of inevitability as the visitors kept the ball until Pocklington eventually gave away a penalty, allowing Morpeth to steal it with the last kick.
