CCTV of suspect in attack at Hull's Relax bar, Spring Bank, released by police
POLICE have issued a CCTV image of a man suspected of an attack with left a man with a fractured skull.
The 32-year-old victim had to be put in a medically-induced coma after the attack at the Relax Russian bar in Spring Bank in the early hours of New Year's Day.

Humberside Police have released CCTV footage of a man detectives want to speak to about the attack.
He also suffered a fractured eye socket and spent a week in hospital after the assault. Police said he also required a month off work.

“It was 4am New Year's eve, whoever was out at that time of the morning would be absolutely blotto, looks like the CCTV was too, as again, it's very grainy and impossible to identify the culprit. The suspect in the green jacket will have burnt it by now or passed it onto a charity. Not sure of the nationality but if they are Eastern Europeans they'll close ranks won't they?”

“The shocking things is that violent attacks usually attract very lenient sentences - like the system has just given up and decent people should keep off the streets. The attacker often walks away with a snigger whilst the victim's life has been trashed. For the victim, the compounded let down by the courts makes it a double assault. How long do we have to wait before the authorities get control of our streets?
As for the quips about the Eastern Europeans - I get the poor taste jokes. But anyone seriously believing it should wake up to the fact that the relaxed attitude that the harm has happened to someone else they may not personally like is precisely why the problem and complacency continues.”
