EAST YORKS: Quick-thinking police officers saved a man's life when he attempted to jump off the Humber Bridge.

The man climbed to the wrong side of the railings and was about to jump.

The officers caught him and, following a struggle, they held on to him, securing him with handcuffs and a belt to the outside railings.

Officers took it in turns to hold the man in place through the railings.
