Power cut hits Beverley
SHOPS in Beverley's Saturday Market were hit by a power cut today (Tuesday).
Lights went out at about 1pm in shops on the Dyer Lane side of the market, including Betfred and Joules.

Shops in Saturday Market, Beverley, have been hit by a power cut.
Contractors on site said an underground joint had been damaged.
They expected to have power restored this evening in time for Wednesday's trading to be unaffected.

“The contractors are meant to be repairing the Market Place not damaging the electricity cables..and they have only just begun...this doesn't bode well for the rest of the "improvements"”
