Prest shines as Dragons triumph
COSTELLO Dragons bagged their third win of the season in the Myton League with a 4-2 victory at Sproatley Juniors under-11s.
Costello dominated the first half with their excellent passing and took the lead through James Prest, whose well struck shot found the back of the net.

A goal kick from Costello's keeper Robert Jackson then found Marcel Dalee, who ran down the wing with the ball and sent a brilliant shot over the keeper for a 2-0 lead at half time.
In the second half, Costello kept up the pressure and a fine shot by Tom Robinson was well saved by the Sproatley keeper, but when the ball came to Mikey Glyn-Williams, he sent a neat chip over the keeper to increase the lead to 3-0.
Sproatley tried hard to get back into the game and persistence paid off when a shot from Henry Bradshaw went in off the post, followed by Nathan Pickering's chip over the Costello keeper to make it 3-2.
The Dragons went looking for a way forward again and a cross by Prest was met by Glyn-Williams, who managed to push the ball over the line to seal the victory.

HESSLE Sporting A under-11s strengthened their position at the top of the Myton League with a 9-0 victory over Elloughton Blackburn.
Sporting took the lead early in the match when Charlie Shaw crossed for Owen Fullard to score after four minutes and then the goals started to roll as Hessle went into the break five goals ahead.
Hessle's winning margin would have been greater, but for Blackburn's never-say-die attitude, which was encapsulated by the fine performance of Lewis Shipp.
Sporting's leading light was Josh Corlett, who continued from last week's strong performance to grab a hat-trick, including a penalty.
Sporting's other scorers were Shaw, Jordan Wetherill, Josh Elliot (2) and Tommy Waud.
THREE first-half strikes allowed Skirlaugh to maintain their 100 per cent start to the Myton League season, thanks to a 3-0 win over Beverley Whitestar Rams.
After a weather imposed six-week winter break both teams were glad to get back to league football, but the pitch was heavy and did not suit the passing game that both teams are normally capable of.
Skirlaugh seized their changes well and were well organised in defence and did not allow Beverley time on the ball.
Skirlaugh scored three first half goals giving Beverley a mountain to climb in the second half.
Beverley: Lewis Richardson, Will Harrison, Jake Holmes, Joe Hird, Gabriel Monteiro, Tom Bruce, Jake Farrell, Dale Dennett, James Mooney, Ben Hearfield, Ollie Baldwin, Ben Waudby, Nick Moody.
