Protest at beagle site
EAST YORKS: Animal rights campaigners are expected to stage a protest in Grimston on Friday against B&K Universal's proposal to expand its dog-breeding facility there.
The company was refused planning permission to redevelop its premises in June and launched an appeal.
The decision has been transferred to the Secretary of State and a site visit is planned this Friday.
Campaigner Victoria Martindale said approving the bid would make B&K the UK's largest beagle-breeding farm.

“and hull88 its basic research that is done, advance research that is looking for cures for cancer alzimers Parkinsons etc, cant be done, its basic research thats been done for years and we are going around in cirles, its all to do with ticking boxes so researchers can put it to market, its human that suffer and are the guiney pigs, adverse drug reactions is the 4th biggest killer, wonderful new technologies are available but unfortunately the government needs to make use of this, 70% more accuracy , animals models shows 30%, again its the humans that will suffer on trails and in the future, pharmaceuticals companies make billions, and put million aside for suing , its all big business, the home office needs to evaluate it but wont, but we are the people who cannot do any thing about it, even protesting and 1000s objections will not make a difference over business, but i hope i am wrong, we will see”
