“BP has been selling off Saltend gradually for years - it is now a business park with only 1 BP plant remaining, so the majority of jobs on site will remain secure. Fortunately for Hull, these other companies have Health and Safety records that do not necessitate the distressed sale of their assets in order to pay fines! I hope that the BP sale is to good solid company who will provide continued employment and better job security for the future and wish all those affected the very best of luck.”

“You can expect more of the same as things get worse. If you want to see what Mervyn King has to say boss of the Bank of England go to the Gaurdian website.A totally different view to that of the CONDEMS.It's rather amazing that non of the other tabloids have run with the story but then again it goes against what this CONDEM Govt's been saying ever since they came to power.”

“Waste of time...they are not the only people who have a threat of redundancy, get back to work and try and keep your job instead of wasting tax payers money!!”

“Totally unacceptable. Stuck in traffic for 2hrs before being able to get to work. Was striking on public roads. ILLEGAL, preventing others to get to work. If they want publicity they've got it, but the wrong sort. if they want support and not angry drivers SORT IT. Also POLICE took 1 and half hours to attend after initally phone call. Why do I pay my Council Tax?”
