SHE is East Riding's answer to Mystic Meg and now lists Olympic hopeful Dwain Chambers among her fans.

Bridlington-born psychic Honor Broxap met the sprinter in his London home to give readings on his medal chances at the recent World Championship meeting in Berlin.

Honor correctly forecasted that Chambers would get through the heats to the final – in which Jamaican Usain Bolt broke his own world record – and gain a personal best time.

Honor also said she foresaw the calf injury that prevented Chambers competing in the 200 metres.

She told the Mail: "I saw he needed to watch around for foot, ankle or leg problems.

"I just knew there was something not quite right."

The 46-year-old psychic, who claims to be a direct descendant of Gipsy Rose Lee, met the British athlete at the launch party of his book, Race Against Me, last February.

She said: "I didn't know who Dwain Chambers was, but at the book launch I walked in and said 'Whoever's book this is, is going to have medals all around them' and he said 'That's me'."

Chambers asked to speak to Honor and has since approached her several times for readings.

He said: "She has the ability to give you a brief glimpse into your future. This then allows you to plan your life better as well as make smarter decisions.

"She predicted I would win the European Indoors."

Honor, who describes herself as an international clairvoyant and psychic medium, said she brought the British sprinter "validation".

She said: "I try to empower people and uplift them.

"I help them to realise that sometimes with decisions you can't see the wood for the trees and psychics can help."

“I feel sorry for people who believe in this sort of thing. So an athlete would have 'medals all around them' wow

She will be saying next that Hull City will have a stressful time in April/May next year

Did she predict that the World championship medals would look like Jim'l'fix it medals too?”

“The Hull Daily Mail should be ashamed of themselves giving this fraud publicity of this kind. Mediums and clairvoyants are all frauds, and if you believe otherwise you are deluded. Not one single person has EVER been able to prove this kind of ability outside of the realms of luck. They prey on the vulnerable and the bereaved to take their money.”

“Hope she never profited from this reading as under the fraudulent mediums act she would have been arrested. Sadly the act was repealed in 2008 although new consumer laws are said to be able to stop this. It's amazing how many alleged mediums get away with this and a number of groups still charge for these services, and worse still many of them promote themselves in HDM.”

“"I saw he needed to watch around for foot, ankle or leg problems".

Well done Einstein, he's a sprinter.

Hang on, the mists are clearing, yes, I predict the winner of the long jump will come into contact with sand during the championship.

    Ooohhhh - it's uncanny!”
