Pudsey will be proud of Children In Need effort
WEIRD and wacky charity events took place all over Hull and East Riding for this year's Children In Need.
Enthusiastic volunteers organised imaginative fundraisers from fancy dress "funday" car washes and cake stalls to live music and clairvoyance evenings.

GROUP EFFORT: The Horncastle building hosted the Hull College Rocks event with a day of music from young artists.

Students at Hull College teamed up with not-for-profit record label Purple Worm to organise a fantastic day of live music from young artists from the Best Of Hull album.
Helen Mays, a second-year music student at Hull College, helped co-ordinate the events. She said: "It was great. All the music students got involved."
The line-up included Best Of Hull bands Steer and the Launderette Poets.
Marisa Steer, singer for the Launderette Poets, said: "It's nice to join in something like this, with all the students here participating."
At St Stephen's shopping centre, two teams took part in a sponsored 260-mile race on exercise bikes.
The race kicked off at noon with a visit from Pudsey Bear and Hull Stingrays ice hockey players, who cycled the first 40 minutes for each team.
One team was made up of staff from the shopping centre while the other was from the Nuffield Health and Fitness gym.
Ian Leech, director of Clearsilver PR, was cycling on behalf of St Stephen's and helped organise the day's activities.
He said: "We wanted an event that was a bit different and fun that we could fit inside the shopping centre. It's been fantastic."
At ALS Checkpoint Systems, in Sutton Fields industrial estate, staff arranged a fancy dress funday carwash with Pudsey cake sales. They raised a total of £710.
Zoe Goldberg, who was the driving force behind the day, said: "It was brilliant.
"We got loads of people coming down from other business on the industrial estate."
