Reaping the rewards of renewables
RENEWABLES: Yorkshire businesses that have already won work in the offshore wind power industry have been lined up to present at a supply chain conference.
Delegates at the event will hear how companies in the region have been successful in securing contracts in the emerging sector and the type of requirements global energy giants are looking for from suppliers.
The event has been organised by the Renewables Network and Footprint Renewables and is sponsored by Nabarro.
Offshore Wind: A Guide For Business takes place on Monday, February 25, at the Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre in Rotherham, South Yorkshire.

“If Humberside Local Enterprise Partnership are unaware as to Cosalt Plc need for funding, they including David Ross HLEP vice chairman, also the chairman of Cosalt Wind Energy,Cosalt Offshore and WorkWear.Wel save the effort as Cosalt Wind Energy have shut down with under £900K debt, and Cosalt Offshore,WorkWear having called in the administrators. So much for HLEP,when £100 Billion has be given to subsidise foreign firms to build our windfarms offshore.Absolutly crazy with Humberside having the UKs highest unemployment, perhaps Cosalt should have approached the EEC,with more success. An Absolute shame, shambles.Pleases explain at the upcoming Renewables dinner do.”
