Almost half of the proceeds from this year's concert will go to Dove House Hospice's Love You 2 Appeal, the Mail's charity of the year.
The campaign aims to raise £2.5m in two-and-a-half years to fund a huge expansion at the east Hull hospice.
The remainder will go towards The Daisy Appeal, which aims to provide specialist equipment for the Hull and East Yorkshire Medical Research and Teaching Centre at Castle Hill.
Ruth Holgate, who marketed the event, said: "Each year the event just seems to gather momentum.
"We anticipate that we've exceeded the amount raised last year through ticket sales, raffles and tombolas.
"It was super night with brilliant entertainment and the best ever fireworks display.
"It's an event that appeals to a wide range of people, old and young."
