British singer-songwriter Rita Ora has shot to fame over the past couple of years.

Last year was an amazing year for Rita – she provided the vocals for DJ Fresh's Hot Right Now, her debut single, R.I.P topped the chart, she opened summer concerts for Coldplay and was a guest judge on the X-Factor.

Rita is well known for her gorgeous blonde hair, which she wears in a super wavy and totally glamorous style.

Rita's hair is naturally quite dark so choosing to go this blonde can be quite risky and something you should never do at home yourself.

The only way you can do it is with the use of bleach or high lift tints. Even then, to get an even colour, your hairdresser might have to apply a different colour to the roots, leave it on certain areas of your hair for longer, and use a toner to give the colour vibrancy and avoid any brassiness.

Always visit your hairdresser and ask for their advice.

Styling your hair like Rita's is much easier.

Shampoo and condition your hair using products from my Big Night Out range. These products don't leave it too soft or floppy to style – giving that second day hair feel instantly.

Towel dry your hair and apply mousse evenly through and then dry completely using your hairdryer.

There are a couple of ways to achieve Rita's waves, depending on what equipment you have. One way is by using heated bendy rollers.

Take a large section of hair, spray with Work it Girl Shine Protect and Control Spray and wrap spirally around the roller. Fold the ends of the roller in half to secure.

Leave the Bendy Rollers to cool completely before removing.

The second way is by using a Rock Chick Wave Wand.

Take a large section of hair and wrap it spirally around the barrel. Hold for a few seconds.

Immediately wind the wave around your fingers and secure the roll with a pin clip.

Do this through the rest of your hair and then leave to cool before removing all of the clips.

Finish either method by rubbing some Texturizing Polish through your fingers and then combing through your hair to separating and define the waves.

Shine is important with this style, so don't be afraid to give your hair a good blast with Shine spray.
