Robber's knife threat at Anlaby Road Sainsbury's
WEST HULL: A robber threatened staff at Sainsbury's with a knife before trying to steal from their till.
Police said they were unsure if any money was taken from the store in Anlaby Road.

The robbery happened at about 9.50pm on Sunday.
The culprit was a white man of average build and about 5ft 8in.

He was wearing a black hat with a peak, a grey scarf covering his face, grey gloves, a black jacket, blue trousers and white trainers.
The knife he threatened staff with had a yellow handle and 6in blade.
A member of staff suffered a small cut on the wrist during the robbery but did not need hospital treatment.
Detectives are appealing for information from anyone who can identify the man or has seen the weapon.

“If ever there was an argument for stores to be shut at this time of an evening then this would be it.
They keep telling us incidents like these are rare, but I bet the risk of it happening between 9 and 5 are virtually nil.”
