Rodin: We can cause upset
DEFENCEMAN Dmitri Rodin still believes Hull Stingrays can beat the odds and pull off a shock in this season's Elite League play-offs.
The 37-year-old Estonian helped the Rapid Solicitors Stingrays cause one of the biggest upsets in play-off history last season, by booking a semi-final place at Sheffield Steelers' expense.
Stingrays look to face an uphill battle this season to repeat the feat, currently sitting bottom of the table, six points adrift of the play-off places with 15 games remaining.
Ahead of potentially season-defining clashes with Dundee this weekend, Rodin said: "It's hard to say whether this year's team is better than last year's, but I think it's faster and tougher.
