SPROATLEY: The village primary requires improvement, according to Ofsted.

Inspectors found achievement and the quality of teaching needs improvement.

Good ratings were given for leadership and management and also the behaviour and safety of pupils.

Ofsted said new head teacher Gillian Barratt has quickly identified what requires improvement and is using this to rapidly improve teaching.
