“In reply to Kernowbec, I was not aware that it was on Look North and I wouldn't have watched that anyway as I now live outside Hull. Angela is indeed a great headmistress - one of the best there is. My two daughters left with 13 / 15 gcse's each all A*, A's and couple of 'B's and went on to get 5 'A' levels each at college and then into a top university. (one was an Oxbridge student and also won the Prue Amner award) So I would say to anyone who is thinking of sending their daughter to Newland Girls, do so with confidence. If they work hard like mine did, with a head like Angela and the wonderful dedicated teachers, they will go far.”

“I think I might have upset the useful idiots. You know. The local Council Stazi and their sycophantic acolytes. They've all voted against ma ha ha ha. Well they do say that the truth hurts!”

“You lot need to wake up and stop being useful idiots because so far there are:
- 47,806 cameras used in 2,107 schools
- 207 schools have 825 cameras in changing rooms and bathrooms
- 90% of schools use CCTV cameras
- 54 UK schools have 1 camera or more per 15 pupils
- 106,710 CCTV cameras estimated in high schools and academies in England, Scotland and Wales
-1 camera per 13 individuals in England
-50 million useful idiots who bought into the illusion CCTV is there to protect them!
Now repeat after me: 'I am free and don't live in a big open prison camp and the system doesn't suspect me of anything'!”

“In reply to Eleanor91 if you watch tonight's "Look North" programme it clearly states that Newland School For Girls (NSG) has inherited CCTV in their temporary home on the old Henry Cooper site. Angela Martinson clearly states in her interview on the programme that she will not be keeping the CCTV as she does not need to spy on "her" girls as she puts it.
NSG is a great school and Mrs Martinson is a fantastic teacher (she taught me at Beverley High School over 20 years ago) and has gone on to be a wonderful Headteacher at NSG. The fact that both your daughters have left NSG and gone onto university speaks volumes.”

“My two daughters attended Newland Girls. A small minority are a problem in any school no matter how good but to spy on them is beyond belief. Neither they or their friends did not smoke or bully anyone and they behaved in the decent way they had been brought up. They are both currently at university and are shocked that any establishment they loved and trusted could do such a thing. It has blighted their feelings toward the school.”

“If all schoolkids behaved in a respectful and trustworthy manner then there would of course be no reason to even consider the CCTV option. Unfortunately, a significant minority of school pupils are scallywags who tolerate authority with a degree of hostility and would not be averse to causing costly damage in toilet areas, indulging in the heinous "sport" of bullying, bunking off, smoking or consuming alcohol there.”

“If I installed CCTV in my toilet in my home where my kids and other people used it I would be labeled a pedophile , a school installs them and they're just for "security " . Go figure”

“For you to accept CCTV in any form is for you to accept your guilt and subsequent incarceration within this panoptic society for a crime you haven't committed yet but might do sometime in the future. Welcome to pre-crime where you are all suspects and are forced to continually prove your innocence thus allowing the local Stazi to remove the rule of law which states that we are all innocent until proven guilty and replacing it with customs law where you are guilty until you can prove your innocence. Orwells book; '1984' wasn't an instruction manual.
Other than that it is nothing more than cultural conditioning and soon we'll have CCTV in the home under the guise of the well spun anti bullying narrative. As for the question of who watches the watchers I say this. I suspect those who are above and beyond suspicion with their advanced CRB checks who simply haven't been caught yet. Because to be above and beyond suspicion is an ideal position to commit a crime.”

“The ones at Syd Smith are facing the wash basins. Installed because youths used to kick them to pieces and smash water pipes, drainage etc.
Strangely enough it ceased once these were in.”

“On a lighter note they may have CCTV in the toilets so they can keep an eye on the kids movements.
Ah thank you!”
