HULL scored seven tries to beat Stockport 49-24, despite picking up three yellow cards and having three tries disallowed.

It took Hull only five minutes to storm over from a catch and drive from a lineout near the line, with Devonshire credited with the touchdown.

Greg Lound's trusty boot added the conversion.

A slick interchange of passes with Slingsby saw Jamie Wigglesworth plunge over, with Lound adding the conversion.

Hull seemed in command but the hosts' Geary kicked a good penalty goal.

Hull, under pressure, had Dorrington and Phil Murphy yellow-carded and Stockport took advantage as Flynn stormed over for a try that Geary converted.

With Hull down to 13 and the gap only four points, the visitors were under the cosh.

Their response was to restart with an astute kick- off which Slingsby caught and sprinted clear with Wigglesworth rounding off things for a Hull try that Lound converted.

Hull returned to full strength and a series of five-yard scrums was rounded off when Alex Campbell drove over for another try, Lound converting for 28-10 at half-time.

A momentary Stockport revival at the start of the second half saw Zavallis Roebuck race in for a try that Geary converted.

Only a minute later a wild pass by Stockport on their own 22 metre line saw Jamie Barnard intercept and go under the posts, leaving Lound to convert.

Another Barnard break saw a good inside pass taken on by Danny White who scored a try which Lound converted magnificently.

Hull continued to fashion scoring opportunities and after 67 minutes seemed to have scored again but instead found they had their third disallowed try.

This was followed by their third yellow card as Tom Doughty left the field, giving the hosts the chance to score through Waddington.

Geary's conversion helped to give the score some respectability.

In the final minute a series of sweeping attacks saw Alex Piercy receive the final pass to score and Lound converted.
