Shed burglaries: Hull owners given free alarms and locks
WEST HULL: Residents have been given free alarms and locks to increase security after a series of shed and garage burglaries.
Police have made reducing the number of thefts in the area a priority and have been visiting residents in Moorhouse Road to carry out crime reduction surveys.
Officers from the West neighbourhood policing team have been visiting residents to conduct the surveys and improve security.
A spokesman for the team said: "We will also be offering residents on Willerby Road and surrounding streets home visits to assess the security of resident's sheds and garages.

Alarms and locks have been purchased with funding from Hull City Council and distributed to residents.
