Longcroft students, from left, Georgina Farrow, Carrie Underwood, Isabelle Wilkinson, Alex Grainger, Bethany Whyley and Danielle Wilkinson have recorded a charity single and raised £2,000 for Haiti earthquake survivors.
The town secondary has also boosted its efforts with a non-uniform day and a bake sale to raise the huge sum of £2,000.
Jonathan Chapman, assistant headteacher at the school, said: "Releasing the single has made a considerable impact on all of our pupils, staff and parents at Longcroft School.
"Both the single and music video has been very enthusiastically received and we have managed to raise a staggering £2,000 through record sales and fundraising activity.
"As a school with a performing arts specialism we felt that we should put our best foot forward and express our feelings about the event through the voice of song.
"The Harry Nilsson track has particularly meaningful lyrics and I would like to thank everyone who was involved in putting our version of the song together.
"I would also like to thank all those who have helped us raise a fantastic sum of money for an extremely worthy cause."
