As shown on the map on this page, the following roads will be affected: Humber Street, Queen Street, Nelson Street, High Street, Liberty Lane, North Church Side, Posterngate, Princes Dock Street, Alfred Gelder Street, Lowgate, Whitefriargate, Guildhall Road, Tower Street, Albion Street, Bond Street, King Edward Street and half of Carr Lane.

On Sunday, July 8, two free Sky Ride Easy Rides will leave from Ennerdale Leisure Centre at 2pm and from Pearson Park at 2pm.

At Ennerdale, Lord Mayor Danny Brown will be presented with a framed Team GB cycling jersey to mark the partnership between Hull City Council and British Cycling.

Councillor Brown said: "There is a long history of people taking part in cycling or recreation or as part of their daily commute in Hull.

"Last year, the city was named as fourth in the list as one of the top cities nationally for cycling.

"I hope people will take part in any of the Sky Ride Local rides around Hull to warm up for the big Sky Ride Hull on August 19."

More than 60 people took part in Sky Ride Local events last weekend.

More rides will be taking place over the coming weeks leading up to the Sky Ride Hull.

Rides are available every weekend from July to September and they are suitable for people of all ages and abilities.

Melanie Hudson, British Cycling officer for Hull, said: "There are some great rewards for kids who get out on their bikes for one, two or three Sky Ride Local rides.

"There will be fun goody bags, frog LED bike lights and hoodies up for grabs."
