Sneak-in thieves targeting homes in west Hull villages
EAST RIDING: Sneak-in thieves have targeted properties in two villages this week.
The first burglary happened at an address in North Street, Anlaby, just before 9pm on Monday.

The thief entered through the unlocked front door of the mid-terraced house and stole two sets of keys from a hallway table.
The second burglary was again committed by a sneak-in thief, who discovered an unlocked side door at a bungalow in South Ella Way, Kirk Ella.

The thief entered the property between 2pm and 4pm.
In the kitchen, the thief stole a purse containing a bank card and a small amount of cash from a handbag left on the worktop.
A police spokesman warned residents to guard against sneak-in thieves.
The spokesman said: "Most burglaries are committed by opportunist criminals who happen to see unsecured premises where they can help themselves to the property inside.
"In most cases, the burglary could have been prevented."
Anyone with information should call Humberside Police on the non-emergency number 101.

“Thieves are getting too cocky for their own good these days. It's a well-known fact that burglars enter the back way so as not to be seen. However, these little scroats are using the front door as if they dont care, but why should they when the law just gives them a slap across the wrist and they're told not to do it again? Ring any bells Judge Mettyear and your ilk?”
