A SURVEY on the rate of coastal erosion is carried out twice a year.
Specialist equip-ment is used to see how much land has been lost since the last investigation.
On average, the East Yorkshire coast has been eroding at a rate of 5.5ft (1.7m) each year.
In the past six months, almost 22ft (7m) of coastline has been lost in some parts.
