A SPEED survey will take place shortly to establish if there are any road safety problems in Hessle High Road.

A previous investigation by Humberside Police's Pickering neighbourhood policing team found no serious problems.

Members of the public had raised concerns about the stretch of road up to Pickering Road junction.

But the study showed the level of danger at this junction, in terms of injury collisions, was only "very minimal".

“Its a dual carridgeway 40 MPH road what chance it gets downgraded to 30 as East Riding has done with Boothferry Road . Why has East Riding downgraded the A1033 at Camerton to bridge Bungalows to 30 in open country no street lights and a 30 speed limit just asking for mad drivers to overtake 40 would be better.”
