The Ladykillers, a stage play based on the Ealing comedy, arrives at Hull New Theatre next week.

Touring from the West End, the production has been adapted by Graham Linehan, the co-creator of the television comedy Father Ted.

The play sees a gang of criminal misfits, posing as amateur musicians, renting rooms in the lodging house of a sweet old lady, Mrs Wilberforce.

Michele Dotrice, known for her role as the long-suffering Betty in Some Mother's Do 'Av 'Em is among the cast.
