Steve McNamara: Hull KR's Craven Park is popular choice for England stars
ENGLAND coach Steve McNamara says playing at MS3 Craven Park has been a popular choice with his players, who know how appreciative the supporters are in the city.
Every one of his squad has experienced playing at the east Hull ground as opposition players, and McNamara wasn't surprised to hear how much they are looking forward to the atmosphere.

Taking on France as part of the Autumn International Series tomorrow, McNamara knows the city's rugby league fans will cheer them on as vociferously as they would their own club side.
"My players have all spoken highly of their visits to Hull KR," McNamara told the Mail.

"When we looked for a venue for this game, Craven Park was the perfect venue.
"It is a very loyal, community-based club who are passionate about their rugby league.
"The fans never boo their own team off and are very appreciative when the opposition do well."
As a Hull native, McNamara is delighted to be leading his country in his home city for the second time.
And he hopes it will prove as successful as last year's clash with New Zealand at the KC.
"People are quick to knock this city but they don't understand it," he added.
"The people are passionate and loyal to their teams.
"Last season, some of the England players left Hull with a different perception after being very well treated on their stay.
"I'm sure this time will be no different."

"SheilaSlamma_
it's almost like a compulsion for you to post the same post 20 times a day.
You don't even exchange comments with other FC supporters
You are seriously weird."
Mike, he has to be weird. What right minded person would want to share a bottle of wine with Stevo?

“It seems that once again the "old faithful" are angry.
Rugby League players like Rugby League grounds, Soccer lodgers don't give the same atmosphere.
If they want booing, bricking and spitting at any time I'm sure they'll ring Mr Allam and ask his permission to play at the KC. If it's not available they could try somewhere with the same atmosphere.
The moon for instance.
Lol.”

“Slammer,I believe the golf stand was bought in 2006,I think it was supposed to be extended in 2008,I think it has effected attendances and could maybe have fans instead of being turned away from the east stand, for the top six games I think we would get 4/500 walk ups,we also need more seats and if I had my way I would get rid of the well and build some corperates boxes and maybe ten rows of seats nearer the pitch and call it a family stand.”

“What a financial mess Hudgell has got the Dobbins into, they are now having to get rid of one of their most consistent players,Jason Netherton who is up there with Craig Oooops Hall, to try to ward off administration. If they don't con some people into putting money into that basket case of a club soon, they won't be able to start the new season.
Lets hope for their sake that guy sells a lot of Pizzas tonight.
Of course we all know tha Lambrini sales will soar tonight when auntie Slammer and her "special friend",Bridrobin mince off to Fuel to buy drinks for their "young nephews". ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha”

“gateshull, but instead Rovers Board opted to buy the Golf Stand!
Hindsight informs us it was a mistake but don't forget the North Stand was 'in the pipeline' and the golf stand was expected to be moved to the south end.”

“I think it was a mistake a couple of years ago not extending the east stand at the south end and make it hold 6000 the cost I believe would have been 400k,rovers by now would have got atleast half of that money back.”

"someone on here reckons they purchased a ticket for the game , at the kr shop in town. i had previously tried at the same shop , only to be told they didn't sell them. and gave me the t num of the rfl. so someone is fibbing.
the current capacity will be around 6000 i would have thought,as only the golf stand is missing. could be wrong."
My daughter is collecting our tickets today from the shop. Looks like you didn't attend the derby at CP this year, the crowd was just over 9000 including the South Terracing and without the Golf stand.”
