Student plans London-to-Paris cycle ride for charity

AN EAST Hull man is taking part in a London-to-Paris bike ride for charity.

Daniel Ainsworth is raising money for Dove House Hospice and will embark on the challenge in July.

He has to raise £1,450 for the trip, from July 3 to 7, and needs to raise £1,160 before April 12.

Daniel, of Birklands Drive, said: "I've raised about £250 so far and from February 10 I'll be in Asda in Kingswood fundraising every Sunday from about 10am to 2pm.

"I've also put some of my photography work into Ferens Art Gallery's open art exhibition and if it sells the money will go towards the total needed for the challenge."

The Wilberforce College student, 19, has been going to the gym regularly and takes five spinning classes a week.

He said: "When the weather gets a little better I'm going to be biking to York every weekend to make sure I'm ready for the trip.

"I've also been eating healthy, including low saturated foods and having three good meals a day."
