Swinging along to the sights and sounds of the 1940s in North Thoresby
VILLAGERS turned back the hands of time at North Thoresby's annual 1940s weekend – which saw a host of fun activities for everyone to enjoy.
The weekend of nostalgia was lifted with dancers kicking their heels at the swinging event.

JJ's East Coast Swing Dance Society was partying on the day and Grimsby dancing couple John Peacock and Wendy Parker were drawing in the crowds.
John said: "This is a brilliant event and it has had a great turnout this year.
Come and discover the wildlife at Blacktoft Sands nature reserve for just £6. Offer includes entry for 2 adults and up to 3 children, binocular hire and activities for children. Normal value £12.
Terms: Redeem voucher at visitor reception during opening hours, 9am to 5pm. Only, one pair of binoculars per voucher, customers will need to leave car keys as a deposit for binoculars.

"It's great to see everyone of all ages attend and have a great time to celebrate such a wonderful era.
"Seeing the Spitfire was amazing and you can't beat the sound when it roars past."
