Teenager makes Fenner switch
FENNER Cricket Club have signed 15-year-old Cottingham Cricket Club all-rounder Will Rhodes for the forthcoming 2010 season.
Rhodes is the brother of Fenner CC young player of the year award winner Dominic Rhodes, 18, who is currently in Queensland playing in the Australian Cricket Academy.

Will Rhodes will play for the Marfleet side's adult team in what will be their first season in the York and District Senior Cricket League Premier Division, following three consecutive promotion campaigns.
He will continue to play his junior cricket with Cottingham this year while also forming part of the Fenner first team squad.
Rhodes met up with his new Fenner team-mates at the east Hull club's first winter indoor training session recently at the Endeavour Sports Centre.
He will make his debut in a pre-season friendly at Hornsea on April 17 alongside brother Dominic, who is set to return from Australia at the end of March.
The young left-handed batsman has already scored 10 centuries in his fledging career, his first being scored for Cottingham under-11s.
He got his second ton in 2008 for Cottingham Academy against Brigg aged just 13, to become the youngest centurion in East Yorkshire Alliance League cricket history – for which he received a special achievement award in recognition.
In his last two seasons in all cricket, Will Rhodes has scored nearly 5,000 runs, including 1,100 in senior cricket, and has taken over 120 wickets, 30 of these in the adult game with Cottingham.
In representative cricket, Rhodes played his first representative game for East Yorkshire when he was just eight and has played in both District under-13 and under-14 and Lord Taverners under-11, 13 and 15 teams since then.
He was captain when East Yorkshire won the under-13 Lords Taverners competition in 2008, being named all-rounder of the tournament and man of the match in the final.
He has played for Yorkshire regularly for the last five years and won the batting award at under-13s in 2008, with an average of just over 97, while last year at under-14s he was named as player of the year.
Furthermore, in 2008 Rhodes was selected to represent the North of England under-13s in Taunton.
Fenner chairman Dick Ollett said: "We are delighted that Will Rhodes has decided to follow in his brother's footsteps and join the Marfleet club as he reaches the next stage of his cricket development, with an eventual ambition to earn a full-time contract with Yorkshire County Cricket Club."
