REMEMBRANCE Day in Hornsea was a particularly poignant one this year and I would just like to thank everyone who helped to organise the services both at St Nicholas Church and at the war memorial.

It was particularly pleasing to see so many young people taking part in the parade from the church to the war memorial.

The Hornsea Air Cadet Drum Corps were superb at the head of the parade, followed by the other organisations who wore their uniforms with pride and were a credit to themselves, their units and the town.

Councillor Jean Robinson.
