EAST YORKS: Patients crossing the Humber Bridge to attend medical appointments in Hull could get extra concessions as part of an imminent deal to cut fares.

A deal has now been agreed between the region's four councils – Hull, East Riding, North East Lincolnshire and North Lincolnshire – to equally underwrite the bridge's remaining £182 million debt. It means the Government will now write off the other £150 million.
