“Bringing in Tony Blair is an act of absolute desperation on the part of Lord Prescott. It can only mean that he is not confident of winning and that he is a lot more beatable than some would have us believe. This is one election where we really should get out and vote. Otherwise we only have ourselves to blame for the result.”

“Prescott wants hanging!!!!!!!!!!! He was part of the treachory that changed the bill of rights that could not legally be changed but where! He aided and abetted Tony Blair to change laws that could not be changed, ever, but where. Therefore, he is a man that has broken the law of the land and commited treason yet here he is now, during his retirement, wanting to take control of the Humberside police! If this man wins, there would be nothing but corruption and this criminal would be behind most of it. If he is allowed to govern our police, we are doomed. It sickens me to know, here is a man, on a very healthy pension, aquiring wealth from his Biography and had thousands from his golden handshake. He doesn't need the money. Why does he feel the need to deprive somebody of a job who would do the job better legally and without corruption. If Prescott gets in, then I fear for the safety of Hull Folk because it is guarenteed we will see an increase in police costs and increases in fines issued. Furthermore! HE ain't even from Hull, so what is he doing even applying for the position? Answer! The Capitalists have put him there! Don't vote for him!!!!”

“The issue for me around this election is no one seems to know what its all about or what it will actually mean for policing. The most informative site I'm aware of so far is policecrimecommissioner.co.uk which seems to be keeping track of all press releases and the like for the area and listing all the candidates, the list at the police foundation is pretty good as well. Its important people understand whats going on and understand the policies of individuals who are standing so they know what and who they are voting for.”

“This is why Prescott wants the job, so he can be "Fatman!". Imagine...
Millionaire politician, his Lardship Baron John Prescott is sitting at home at Prescott towers reading Croquet monthly, he looks out of the window and sees the image of a giant pie being projected onto the clouds, he knows it is time to don his cape and secret identity and come to the aid of the good people of Humberside! Into the Jagmobile and off to Police Headquarters
(cue the music)
Na na na na na Fatman! Fatman! Fatman!
SCOFF! CHEW! KETCHUP! CHIPS! Mr Chu!
Once again Fatman decides the best place to stake (should that be steak) out the criminals is at that well known haunt of good food and nice people and no criminals whatsoever, but the food is very nice, Mr Chu's! Into the jagmobile he races off for some wontons (wanton?) and some deep fried pork belly. No luck here for Fatman, so taking in Pizza Hut, Frankie and Benny's, Starbucks, Subway, and McDonalds Fatman makes his way back to the A63 to in his pursuit of crime. A quick stop at Costa and KFC Fatman feels ready to fight crime, although a nap first might not be a bad idea, but wait, what's this someone thinks he looks hungry and throws him an egg, quick as a flash Fatman ducks the egg and lays out the thrower with a mighty jab, quickly he calls for assistance and the grateful Police turn up with a curry and cart the offender off to have his benefits cut and a suspended sentence handed out at the courts.
Happy with his days crime fighting Fatman returns home in the jagmobile to his secret lair, and once again resumes his life as John Prescott, a life free of the frippery of pomp and circumstance, a life of clear socialist values, a man of the people, a shining example of Labour and all for which they stand! Never let it be said that Labour say one thing, but may well be lying as they do the exact opposite.
Now he has the blessing of the sainted messiah his religiousness and future pope the noted war criminal Tony Blair, how can he fail! The dyed in the wool Labour supporters of Hull and other urban areas of Humberside and their "I'll vote Labour, I've always voted Labour" will make sure he gets in.
I wonder what the expenses are like for this Commissioners job, especially as the MP ones are no longer worthwhile, and the House of Lords ones are under scrutiny. I expect there will be no oversight on these, and they'll probably be kept secret in the public interest. Wouldn't want too close an examination of them, the information might prove useful to...erm, terrorists?”
