Tribute to Bransholme man Craig Burling, who died suddenly in sleep
BRANSHOLME: A young man who died suddenly in his sleep will be remembered at a fundraising evening on Friday.
Craig Burling, 23, died at his home in Blandford Close from sudden adult death syndrome in August 2011.
It is an umbrella term used to describe sudden cardiac arrest in young people and is the same condition that killed Hornsea teenager Josh Fell, who died after playing football.
After Craig's death, his family launched the Craig Burling Memorial Fund to raise money for Cardiac Risk In The Young.
The fundraiser, which starts at 7.30pm, is being held at the Beverley Road social club and includes a disco, karaoke and auction.
A Liverpool football shirt signed by Fernando Torres will be going under the hammer as well as a snooker cue signed by Ronnie O'Sullivan.
Tickets cost £5. Email Michelle Burling at firstname.lastname@example.org to book.
