Truck hit parked car and dragged it along road
WALKINGTON: Drinkers outside an East Riding pub were amazed to see a truck plough into the side of a car and drag it several yards up the road.
The red truck came through Walkington in the direction of Beverley at about 4.45pm on Saturday.

The road narrows with cars parked on both sides outside Costcutter supermarket.
Witnesses said the driver seemed to hesitate before ploughing on. A Seat Ibiza was shunted up the road with its bumper ripped half off.

Seat owner Duncan McKay, 50, of Turners Rise, Walkington, had parked up and called into the Barrel pub for a soft drink after watching the local football team.
He said: "I'm absolutely furious. I've been told what happened and the guy didn't stop."
Luckily CCTV from the Costcutter caught the whole thing on camera and police, called quickly to the scene, have put out an appeal.
Sergeant Martin Moore said: "It was a red van, seven-and-a-half tonnes, a goods vehicle.
"Our traffic patrols are going down to transport depots in Hull.
"We have CCTV but we are still looking for other witnesses."
Anyone who saw what happened should call police on 101, quoting log number 624.

“I believe it is a LGV 'C' class vehicle. I take it the 'driver' will be prosecuted (if caught) for wreckless driving and recieve the full force of the judiciary... ..oh but wait... ...he a pretend HGV 'professional' they simply get off lightly with their incompetence...”

“Hang on! If it's a van, as described by Sergeant Martin Moore, can I just point out most and all vans have a 3.5 ton weight capacity, unless it was a box van! Can we have clarification please?”
