UFO crashed through pensioner's house
A pensioner from west Hull has described the terrifying moment when a metal object from the sky smashed through the roof of his house.
Peter Welton, 75, was in the bedroom of his home when he heard a loud bang.
The great-grandfather said: "My first thought was terror – it was a hell of a shock.
"If it had landed in the street and hit anybody it would have killed them."
The mystery object, weighing four pounds, made a big hole in the roof of Mr Welton's house and landed in the loft.
The dark-grey round mass was the size of a football and weighed four pounds.
He said: "It was very hot and it stayed that way for over an hour-and-a-half.
"It was too hot to handle so we used oven gloves to bring it down from the loft."
He was at home in Forester Way, off Hessle Road, with wife Mair, 62, and grandson Alfie, 13 months, when the item made its unexpected arrival.
He said: "We were all very shocked.
"It's not every day an object from space lands in your house."
Mr Welton contacted Humberside Police to tell them about the mystery arrival.
They sent round two police officers and a forensic investigation team who removed the object and took it to Priory Road police station.
He then received a call from the Ministry of Defence who said they would be collecting the item from the police station.

“On a serious note it's probably the Perseids you are seeing.
Get a decent pair of binoculars (10*50) or a telescope and it's amazing what one can see up there. If I believed in God (which I don't) then only he, sorry he/she, could have created the wonder that rains down on us all as we gaze toward the infinity of a blackness, that can inspire Divine wonder in the most mean spirited of us all.”

“I Certainly saw these objects, while watching Tv around 11:30 saturday night i saw something out of the window orange in colour i opened the window and couldnt hear any sound (like plane or aircraft) i switched of the tv and went out side....there is no ambient lighting in my back garden so it was clear as day, there were six comet like objects travelling at come speed through the sky, first instance there were 3 in a space out triangle formation, follow by 2 more one after another then last of all faster than all of them another came up behind, i managed to capture some footage of these silent flying objects, like big balls of fire, but when raging through the sky and the distance i was at, they certainly looked big than a football my guess is they where burning at quite a rate, they were travelling in what seemed to me as a straight line or in accordance with the earths atmosphere, i never thought they would land in hull yet further a field.
but what happened to the remaining 5 objects that never landed? someone else must have had the same happen to them or just been lucky.
But i do have video evidence of these objects.”

“I was driving home down Clive Sully last night at about 10pm, heading in the direction of Brough and was just about to pass under the Humber Bridge. As we were coming up me and my girlfriend 'undisputedly' saw something that at first glance looked like a very bright star or planet in the distance. That was my first reaction. Then as we were passing through Hessle it was indeed something hovering low over the area. It was like a ball of fire but the rest was very dark, I couldn't make out if it was a diamond or a kind of rectangular shape but I could swear on my families lives that something was there. It never dissapeared though, it just hovered during the 30 seconds or so I had chance to glance at it whilst driving.
Anybody else see this last night?”

“Last time i heard nessie was well and truly dead, although i am sure if the HDM start a find Nessie campaign every front page for the next 3 weeks and then send a petition to downing street we may find that somebody scottish who lives in Hull may be the 3 rd twcie removed cousin of the sister that was half cousin of Nessie and then we can claim Nessie is / was / maybe from Hul originally and used to live in Bransholme ponds!”
