HULL CITY: Pearson poised to return after hospital admission with chest pains
NIGEL Pearson is expected back on the Hull City training ground this week after fears for his health were allayed.
The 47-year-old missed the Tigers' 3-1 defeat at Doncaster Rovers on Saturday after suffering chest pains on Friday afternoon.

Nigel Pearson is on the mend after suffering chest pains.
Pearson spent the weekend under observation in hospital but having received positive news from a series of precautionary tests, he was expected to be discharged today or tomorrow.
All tests carried out have returned encouraging results, and all being well, Pearson looks set to return to work in the next 48 hours.
The unexpected series of events rocked City's preparations for the trip to Doncaster and left assistant boss Craig Shakespeare to oversee a fourth game without a win.
According to Shakespeare, Pearson's surprise absence may have taken its toll.
He said: "The players were addressed on Saturday morning at the team hotel and put in the picture so there were no secrets. We had to then concentrate on the game.
"When something like that happens, I could see in their faces the shock, that's one of the reasons why we told them early to get focused on the game ahead.
"From my point of view it was hard to be without him.
"He's a leader and he's got an aura about him in front of the lads. But his health is the most important thing and we all understand that."
The ill-health of football managers is nothing new with recent times seeing Graeme Souness, Gerard Houllier, Barry Fry, Joe Kinnear and Sam Allardyce all suffering heart problems.
But no risks were taken when Pearson complained of chest pains after overseeing Friday's training session at the club's Cottingham base. In his absence, City slumped to a third consecutive away defeat of the season.
A Nick Barmby strike was not enough as Doncaster made the most of City's troubled preparations with goals from Martin Woods, Billy Sharp and James Coppinger.
"Nigel will be disappointed and gutted as we all are," said Shakespeare.
"There's room for improvement throughout the side.
"You've got to earn the right to play and we've got to be more resilient, individually and collectively.
"We've got to be harder to play against as a team and then take it from there."

“costa tiger your men or mice post was spot-on. But not all the mice are in the squad. Indeed I think you will find the biggest rodent silently sniffing around in the owners enclosure. He has got a rather large lump of cheese but refuses to part with it. Meanwhile Nigel P sweats on whether he can have a fair chance of grappling the poison challice hes been handed or if not becoming the umpteenth fall guy. C'mon Mr Bartlett do a deal and sell up.l Take responsibility for the past bungling with B ullardgate still in our faces.”

“When is Harper fit? John, Walkington
'Nearing his return' according to Pearson's press conference last week, though it sounds like he's at least two or three weeks away. Folan and Fagan are expected to be available for the Cardiff game.”
