Venturing up new road
AFTER selling Rusty's Cars Ltd, and leasing the property to Pentagon Group, Russell Mason, director and general sales manager of Rusty's decided to venture out on his own and start up a used car sales pitch on Ancholme Way in Brigg.
His aim was to supply affordable cars to customers in the Brigg and Scunthorpe area.
Russell spent 17 years developing the site of Rusty's at Ashby Ville, Lakeside, with his brother Trevor Mason, general manager, who has now retired. After being in the motor trade for 47 years Trevor decided it was time to hang his spanners up, however Russell was not quite ready to do the same and so set himself the task of finding a site that would be suitable for his future plans.
With the help of Melanie Harris of AF Carpets of Brigg and Arthur Dean from Barnetby he found the perfect pitch. Unused and slightly run down, Russell set to and cleaned up and re-furbished the site office, giving it a pleasant and friendly appeal. He now supplies the same services as a main dealer, ie finance, extended warranties and GAP cover. All his cars come with a service, MoT and tax.

Russell has now been trading since October 2011 under the name of RA Mason Cars Ltd and would like to thank Brigg for his warm welcome – from all businesses local to him such as MH Motor Services and Brigg Valeting to name but a few. He is hoping to continue for many years to come.
