Victim of Market Weighton collision named as Bridlington woman Tanya Bailey
A WOMAN knocked down and killed in Market Weighton has been named by police.
Tanya Bailey, 34, of Wellington Road in Bridlington, was hit by a Vauxhall Agila driven by a 65-year-old local woman.
The collision happened as Ms Bailey tried to cross the A614 Londesborough Road.
She is believed to have been a passenger in a blue Ford Focus and was hit after she got out of the car.
Four men who were in the car carrying Ms Bailey have been arrested on suspicion of road traffic offences and supplying drugs.
They have been released on police bail while investigations continue.
Two of the men arrested are 29, one is 35 and one is 38.
Police described them as local.
The driver of the car which hit Ms Bailey has not been arrested.
The crash happened shortly after 8.30pm on Thursday.
Witnesses should call police on 101 and quote 588 of Thursday, January 24.
