Video: Miss Galaxy hopes for glamorous quartet from Hull and Beverley
FOUR glamorous East Yorkshire girls are about to represent their area in a national competition.
Miss Beverley Galaxy, Miss Teen Beverley Galaxy, Miss Hull Galaxy and Miss Teen Hull Galaxy have all been announced.
The girls will go head-to-head with beauty queens from across the country next month at the Miss England Galaxy finals in Chorley, Lancashire.
Miss Hull Galaxy, Charlie Senior, 18, said she wanted to enter to meet new people and was surprised to score high on her interview section.

She said: "I work in business support but I'd love to be a full-time model and I look up to people like Kate Moss. She's had an amazing career in fashion and I want to be a role model for other girls.
"This is the first competition I've been involved in and I can't wait to meet all of the other girls at the final."
Student Mi Mi Fann, 17, was crowned Miss Teen Beverley Galaxy and says she is proud to have been noticed as a different kind of beauty.
Mi Mi moved from Hong Kong when she was seven and goes back to visit friends and family every year.
She said: "I wasn't expecting to win, I was so shocked.
"I want to go on to study mathematics at university but I like doing pageants on the side.
"I'm most nervous about the interview and swimwear rounds but I'm looking forward to the evening wear section.
"Girls always like to glam up for a night out."
Miss Beverley Galaxy, Marilyse Corrigan, 28, was surprised to win the competition because of she is one of the oldest girls. The mother-of-two said her sons Callum, seven, and Joshua, four, are "really proud".
She said: "The age limit is 29, so I really didn't expect to get this far but it's been great and I'm doing charity events and personal appearances.
"I'm also training to be a personal trainer and doing the pageant has given me a lot more confidence in myself.
"It'll be such a nice day at the final and I hope we all place well and go for the prize trip to Florida."
The Miss Galaxy Queens will win a trip to Orlando Florida for three weeks and go through to the international stages of the contest.
Miss Teen Hull Galaxy, Kiem Ablett, 16, said she is hoping nerves do not get the better of her on the big night.
The Brough beauty said her mum, Kay, entered her into the pageant because she thinks her daughter is "beautiful".
Kiem said: "I didn't really know anything about it but it's been great fun so far. I couldn't believe I won.
"We're all going to do our best and hopefully we can continue to make people proud."
