Vital win for Patrington
PATRINGTON picked up a vital win as only one game went ahead in the Newland Evening League for a second successive week.
Patrington secured a 29-run victory over Beverley at Southside as the clash managed to beat the wet conditions.
Ashley McKinley (77) and Matty Dixon (25) gave Patrington a fantastic start, attacking from ball one as they put together a superb 109-run opening partnership in quick time.
Beverley made an excellent recovery and wickets fell as Patrington were restricted to 124 for 8 from their 13 eight-ball overs, with Jamie Roe (4 for 27) and Adam Nicholson (3 for 33) the successful bowlers.
