EAST YORKS: Schools across East Yorkshire are being encouraged to sign up to a new website that will help pupils find out about the latest university events in the region.

UniTasterDays.com has launched the free events email service for secondary school, college and academy teachers.

This is a new function to the UniTasterDays.com site, which allows teachers to search and request university events such as taster days and subject specific workshops.

The mailing list will allow teachers in Hull and East Riding schools to specify how far they would be willing to travel with pupils and their subjects of interest.

Jon Cheek, director of UniTasterDays.com, said: "UniTasterDays. com is proving an invaluable free resource for school teachers.

"The new events mailing list will allow the events to find the busy teacher, without them being required to access the site each week to find them. The response has been fantastic."
